Review of Maido

Maido is a restaurant whose reputation keeps going from strength to strength. In recent years it’s popularity has been steadily on the rise, and in this last year it’s made it onto both the list of the best 50 restaurants in Latin America (no 5) and 50 best in the world (no. 44). I have been lucky enough to visit twice now, although during the first visit I was still recovering from a bout of major food poisoning (thank you Papacho’s…), so couldn’t fully appreciate the amazing food. My father-in-law’s birthday provided the perfect excuse to visit again, and I’m very glad we went back – the food was sublime!
